JET AIRCRAFT’S FAST TRIP
LONDON, Nov. 25.
An R.A.F. Meteor jet fighter flew from Edinburgh to Bovington, in Hertfordshire, 313 miles, in 30min 25sec, a speed of 617 miles an hour. A Hurricane fighter did a comparable trip from Edinburgh to London at 408 miles an hour in 1938. • ‘
