SUCCESSFUL SCHEME

POLISH WORKERS IN TASMANIA Rec. 10 p.m. HOBART, Nov. 26. More former members of General Anders’ Polish Army are on their way to Tasmania under contract to the Hydro-Electric Commission. They number 168, and with those already on the works, the total will be 446. A spokesman of the commission says that the Poles are proving good workmen, and that there has been no sign of dissension in their ranks. They have mixed well with Tasmanian workmen, and because of a number of fine musicians among them, have formed a good orchestra. They have the strongest branch of the Rats of Tobruk Association in Tasmania.
