MODERATE TEMPERATURES The following official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—A ridge of high pressure is east of New Zealand and a depression in the central Tasman is moving slowly eastward. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode- . rate south to south-west winds; weather fair to cloudy with Isolated showers, chiefly near the coast; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions. Weather in Dunedin.-r-Although yesterday was overcast in Dunedin, it was warm, and the maximum temperature recorded was 68.0 deg. The minimum temperature was 47.3 deg and the grass minimum 41.1 deg. Only lhr 36min of sunshine was registered. A light west wind prevailed during the day. The barometer remained steady and at midnight read 29.94 in (1014 millibars).
