Sir,—The Patients’ and Prisoners Aid Socictv is again making its annual appeal ior funds to provide a treat and gifts for patients in Wakan Hospital and Pleasant Valley Sanatorium, and for those in the Mental Hospital at Seacliff, and at the branch —Orokonui Home, Waitati. 10 this number is added prisoners who ruay be in the local lock-up at Christmas and the dependents of th.ose who are serving sentences elsewhere. Those outside of Dunedin should take into consideration that patients at Wakari and Pleasant Valley come from all parts of Otago, and the territory covered by the Mental Hospital includes the whole of Southland and Otago. For this reason we look for a generous response to our appeal not only from Dunedin friends, but also for sympathisers in other cities and towns and in the country districts. Donations should be addressed to the Secretary. Patients’ and Prisoners’ Aid Society, 21 Crawford street, Dunedin, and will be acknowledged by an official receipt.—l am, etc., Alex Steven, Agent and Chaplain Dunedin, November 25.
