PRICES REMAIN FIRM, Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Nov. 25. Prices for prime fat cattle and sheep at to-day’s Waiareka sale remained firm on late rates, while those for unfinished sorts were a shade easier. There was a medium varding of fat cattle and a good yarding of fat sheep. Store cattle of good quality were in demand. Quotations: — Fat Cattle.—Bullocks: Extra prime, £2b to £27; prime, £23 to £24 15s; medium, £2l ot £22 10s; light, £l6 10s to £lB 10s Heifers: Prime, £l6 to £l7 10s; medium. £l2 10s to £l4. Cows: Prime. £ls ot £l6 15s; light, £ll 5s to £l4. Store Cattle—Pen rising three-year-old cattle, £ls; pen Hereford yearling steers, £ls to £l6 15s; light, £ll 5s to £l4 Fat Sheep.—Wethers: Woolly—Prime 74s to 795, medium 60s to 635; shorn—prime 55s ot 58s, medium 50s to 545, light 44s 6a to 48s 6d. Ewes: Woolly—Prime 36s to 38s- shorn —prime 30s to 34s 6d, medium 25s 6d to 28s, light 22s to 24s 6d, unfinished 16s to 19s 6d. Shorn maiden ewes: Prime, 50s to 51s M; medium. 46s to 495. Fat lambs, 37s 6d to 41s 6d. Store Sheep.—Pen full-mouth Corriedale ewes with lambs at foot, 23s 7d; pen Romney cross ewes with lambs at foot, 28s 6d; pen medium shorn two-tooth wethers, 33s 6d; two pens aged wethers, 22 pigs!—Exra good weaners, 40s to 545.
