AIR FORCE APPOINTMENTS
P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. Group Captain M. F. Calder, C.8.E., who has held the appointment of air' force member for personnel at air headquarters, Wellington, for the post two years, will attend the 1948 course at the Imperial Defence College and will leave for the United Kingdom early in December. This was announced to-day by the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, who also announced the appointment of Wing Commander J. M. Checketts, D. 5.0., D.F.C., as commanding officer of the R.N.Z.A.F. station at Fiji. Wing Commander Checketts will succeed Wing Commander J. W. H. Bray, who is to be director of operations at air headquarters.
