FIRST CHURCH
ASSOCIATE MINISTER DR H. W. WEST INDUCTED The Rev. Dr H. W. West was inducted as associate minister of First Church by the Presbytery of Dunedin last evening. The service was conducted by the moderator of Presbytery, the Rev. R. S. Watson, assisted by the Rev. O. T. Baragwanath, who preached the sermon, and the Rev. J. M. McKenzie, who gave the charge to minister and congregation. At the conclusion of the service Dr and Mrs West were entertained at a social gathering. The Rev. R. S. Wat-
son spoke on behalf of the Presbytery, and Mrs W. A. Stevely, Sister Elinor and the Rev W. A. Stevely on behalf of First Church.
Dr West, replying, recalled that he. had been brought up in First Church, where his father, the late Mr H. P. West, had been an elder for many years. A vocal solo was given by Miss L. Monroe, and a violin solo by Mr Ritchie Hanna.
