DOMINION VISITS

SCIENTIFIC AND LITERARY

FIGURES

NEGOTIATIONS IN BRITAIN N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent

Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 25. Negotiations are at present in progress in Britain with the object of arranging visits to the Dominion during the coming year of a number of distinguished British scientific and literary figures. Some time ago a committee consisting of Sir Charles Hercus, Sir Theodore Rigg and Professors I. A. Gordon and F. G. Soper was established in New Zealand with the object of promoting such visits. It is understood that the Nuffield Trust has now indicated that it is prepared to make a substantial contribution to the costs of the scheme. The visitors will deliver lectures to university students and possibly to the public.
