“HOUSING PROBLEM AND COST OF LIVING” P.A. AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. " A lecturer in electrical engineering at Auckland University College, Mr A. L. O’Donnell, will shortly return to Australia with his wife and child, “ because of the housing problem and the cost of living in New Zealand.” Mr O’Donnell, who took up a lecturing appointment last April, has been living in a seaside bach costing £3 5s a week. His travelling time every day is three hours. . His opjnion is that the cost of living in New Zealand is 50 per cent, higher than in Sydney.
