DUNEDIN OWNERS’ SUCCESSES
A feature of the Southland Gun Dog Club’s championships held at West Plains was the success of Dunedin competitors, who won every event. Results were:—
Puppy Class (heel retrieve across water): L. Sinclair’s c.c.r. Mike (90 points), 1; R. Penno’s Lab., Captain Pompey (85 points), 2; Y. K. Fleming’s Lab., Carton Taman (74 points), 3. Novice Class (heel retrieve on land): 'R. Penno’s Lab., Captain Pompey (95 points), 1; D. G. Anderson’s s.s. Nip (93 points), 2; H. Sinclair’s g.r. Sport (81 points), 3. , Limit Class (two-bird non-sight retrieve on land): W. Scott’s g.r. Flash of Kaikorai (84 points), 1; W.;Findlay’s Lab., Chum (81 points), 2; J. Reid’s, s.s. Royal Salute (handled by Mrs Reid), 74 points, 3. Club Championship (land sectionfind and flush; water section—two-bird retrieve): D. A. McLeod’s Lab. .Sandy Powell (land 80, water 87), 167 points, 1; R. Penno’s Lab., Lady Dee (land 85, water 78), 163 points, 2; H. Broad’s s.s. Gold Trail (land 80, water 74), 154 points, 3; J. G.
