PETROL SUPPLIES
IMPLICATIONS OF RECENT , CUT * EXPERIENCE IN WELLINGTON PA WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. Implications of the 10 per cent, petrol cut are beginning to be felt in Wellington. Some motorists were unable to obtain petrol for week-end running on Friday evening because the petrol station proprietors had to call a halt, in order to eke out their supplies, and many ■ motorists were taken by surprise. “We had to turn away dozens of people,” said one man. “There were motorists who came storming at my door while I was trying to balance up the cash. I did not want any donnybrook ’ so I got out'.” This man thought that there miglu be a reduction in some of the commercial vehicles in service by next month. “If the Government does not give us back our half-penny a gallon, we will be out of business.” he concluded.
