Sir,—ln view of the recent tragic fire n Christchurch, I think a certain brand )f Canadian matches now in the market vili bear investigation. Most of the Hatches are all right, but quite a num>er of them, when exploded, throw off spark very sharply. A hole has been lurnt in the centre of one of my :ushions by the spark from one of these natches. Luckily I saw it before much lamage was done. I may be making a nountain out of a molehill, but at least feel I have done my duty by reporting hig potential danger.—l am, etc.,
