MATCH WITH QUEENSLAND AMARNATH SCORES A CENTURY Rec. 8 p.m. BRISBANE, Nov. 23. On the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Amarnath, the prolific Indian ruiv getter, secured his third century of the tour to-day against Queensland, reaching it in 145 minutes. It was a magnificent display, Amarnath scoring freely all round the wicket with lovely .strokes. He did not look like getting out. Mankad, the brilliant Indian allrounder, who is second to Amarnath in the averages and has been getting nearly as many runs, finished with six wickets for 76 runs from 42.6 overs, and then opened the innings to get a brilliant 65.

McCool, the Queensland and test match all rounder, was the first slow bowler to make any impression on the Indians. He dismissed Kishenchand with a brilliant catch off his own bowling and bowled Mankad with one of the best balls of the match. Queensland scored 341 with one of its best performances for years, and then had the Indians with one wicket down for 7, and two for 16. The second wicket foil to the best run out for years. Archer, the 20-year-old baseball star, picked up the ball and threw down the wicket from point, all in one action. . At stumps, India had five wickets down for 249— Amarnath 101, not out.
