DAMAGES AGAINST CROWN
P.A WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. A jury in the Supreme Couri awarded a woman mental patient, aged 21 £IOB 3s special damages and £4OOO general damages against the Crown for the loss of the fingers of both hands while working at a steam mangle’ at Porirua Mental Hospital. The action was brought by the suppliant's guardian.
