WAIRIO MEETING
SMALL FIELDS ENGAGED Special to the Daily Times INVERCARGILL, Nov. 20. Prospects are for fine, weather and a fast track for the Wairio Jockey Club’s annual meeting on Saturday. The fields are on the small side, and as several runners are engaged twice they will probably be further reduced. Betting will be on a single pool. Form horses include:— 11.45: Forde Hurdles.—First Out, Tamerlane, Nor’-wester. 12.25: Birch wood Novice.—Plain . Pal, Fonso, Great Desire. 1.5: Wairio Cup.—Perusha, Merry Lancer, Irish Pal. 1.45: Nightcaps Trot.—First Arion, Lucky Fellow, Oreti Jack. 2.25: Woodlaw Handicap.—Dark Chief, Bonny Royal.
3.5: Wairaki Handicap.—Black Light, Wild Cry, Luminous Knight. 3.45: Bates Handicap.—Sir Garnish, Recharge. 4.25: Ohai Harness Handicap.—First Arion, Lucky Fellow, Dahlita.
