FAIR TO FINE The following official’ weather forecast, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington :y Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. . Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—South-west winds, moderate to fresh near the coast, but light elsewhere. Weather fair to fine, and temperatures moderate. , Further Outlook.—Fine. Weather in Dunedin.—Passing showers carried by a south wind made the weather in Dunedin yesterday cold. The maximum temperature was 57.7 degrees, the minimum 41.1 degrees, and the grass minimum 37.6 degrees. The sun shone for 4hr 30min. and 0.07 inches of rain was recorded. At midnight the barometric pressure was steady at 30.2 degrees (1023 millibars).
