LAMB PRICES LOWER P.A. CHRISTCHURCH. Nov. 19. The store sheep entry at Addington today was 1931. being 1222 hoggets. 429 wethers and 280 ewes and lambs. The demand for all classes, except small backward hoggets, was strong, with prices up to last week. Best wether hoggets made 35s to 38s, and medium 31s 6d to 34s 6d. A pen of ewe hoggets in wool made 43s 6d. Best adult wethers made 465, with good 39s 6d to 445. Four pens of ewe lambs made to 39s 6d, all counted. The fat lamb yarding of 730 was mainly big lambs, being more than the trade required, values consequently being back 2s to 3s. Values: Extra prime to 47s 6d; prime, 38s tb 445; good. 33s to 375; others. 29s to 325. The fat sheep entry ot 6200 contained a large proportion of plaih, unfinished light wethers. The sale opened Is below last week, and all classes of* wethers continued to decline, averaging 4s cheaper. There was a good demand by country butchers for ewes, and prices unproved to 2s to 3s above last week. Values. Extra prime heavy wethers to 53s 7d, prime, 48s to 51s; medium-weight 41s to 47s- ordinary, 30s to 40s. Extra prime hoggets, to 51s 7d; prime. 38s to 435; medium and light 30s to 375. Prime heavy ewes, to 42s 7d; prime mediumweight, 34s to 38s; ordinary, 29s to 335. light and unfinished, 22s to 28s. * The fat cattle yarding of 715 was much too big and some were not offered.
