JUNIOR BRANCH PROPOSED In accordance with a suggestion made bv the Mayor, Mr Cameron, at a special screening of a film showing the work of the London branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals last Saturday, the Otago branch, at its monthly meeting yesterday, decided to form a junior society. The meeting, which was presided over by the chairman, Mr R. Fountain, also decided to call a meeting of all those interested in a junior branch at the end of the society's next monthly meeting. The secretary announced that the prize winners in the recent essay competition were:— _ Senior Suzane McEwan (Owakn Valley) 1. Brian Enright (Beaumont School) 2. Intermediate—Janet Mirams (7 Meadow street) 1, Hope Robinson (Lovell’s Flat) 2. Junior.—Fiona Wills (Windsor School) 1, Judith Dunne (72 Signal Hill road) 2.
