CONTROL OF WEATHER
DRY ICE DROPPED ON CLOUDS WINTER EXPERIMENTS IN AMERICA Rec. 9 p.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 13. Experiments in weather control by bombarding clouds with dry ice will be continued through the winter by army and navy scientists assisted by experts of the General Electric Company. The Army Signal Corps is not yet ready to announce the results of its experiments in October when dry ice was dropped on an Atlantic hurricane, but it is understood that the information obtained therefrom justifies the continuation of the experiments.
The Signal Corps believes that it may be possible to increase the rainfall in mountainous areas in the’ winter time and increasing water stocks for irrigation in the summer time. It also believes that it may be possible to modify the development of storms and prevent crop damage by hail.
