First Power Cuts Plunge London Into Darkness
Rec. 1 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 18. The first big winter power cuts plunged homes and shops ail over London into darkness last night for up to an hour, says the Daily Express. Cinema audiences in some places sat in the dark and listened to music. The Central Electricity Board warns that there may be more cuts to-day.
