The milk supply of Dunedin is under the control of the Metropolitan Milk Board consisting of seven members. Four of these seven—Messrs. Barr, Ireland, Wright, and Taverner—are members of and appointed by the Duneedin City Council. They were appointed on a strict Party vote, Labour members being denied representation. These four being in a majority control of the Milk Board, and therefore the milk supply of Dunedin. Whether you want your milk pasteurised or unpasteurised is your business. But whichever you want you want to get. it pure and wholesome. Then vote them off the Council and off the Milk Board. FOR GOOD , PURE MILK VOTE LABOUR ON ALL PAPERS ON WEDNESDAY HOLIDAY TRAIN TRAVEL Advance Booking Arrangements Applications for reserved seats and sleeping berths for journeys on or before January 11, 1948, will be accepted at stations from which trains commence their journey, up to one calendar month ahead of travel date, and at other stations up to one calendar month and two days ahead of travel date. If the return journey is to be made within one month of commencement of the outward journey but not later than January 11, 1948, return reservation may be applied for at the time the outward reservation is arranged. For journeys to be made on or after January 12, the shorter period for advance reservations (respectively 14 days and 16 days) will be reverted to.
