BOROVANSKY BALLET

A TALENTED COMPANY This morning the box plans will be opened at the D.I.C. for J. C. Williamson’s Borovansk.y Ballet season, which will begin at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday night. On that and the following three nights, also on Wednesday afternoon, November 26, “ Les Sylphidcs,'' with music by Chopin “ Coppelia " (the Girl with the enamelled eyes), with music by Delibes, and “ Le Beau Danube,” with music by Johann Strauss, will be produced. On Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28, ” Carnaval,” “Giselle ” and “ Capriccio Itallen ” will be staged and on Saturday, November 29. and the following four nights, with matinees on November 29 and December 3, " The Swan Lake," with music by Tschaikowsky, “Scheherazade,” “Spectre de la Rose,” and ” Minuit Au Bal ” are to be staged. On the final two nights, Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, and also on Saturday afternoon, December 6. " Concerto,” “ Terra Australis,” “ Sigrid,” and “L'Amour Ridicule” will be presented. Tamara Tchinarova, Edna Busse, Kathleen Gorham, Phyllis Kennedy, Joan Potter and Jonet Wilkie will appear in the various ballets, as also will Serge Bousloff, Martin Rubinstein, Vassallie Trunofl:', Alfred Ross and Leon Kellaway. Edouard Borovansky is said to be outstandingly brilliant in the character he presents in “ Coppelia,” and he is also fine in Le Beau Danube.” All of the ballets are accompanied bv a full symphony orchestra, which is under the direction of the distinguished Continental conductor, Kurt Herweg, and the work of the very talented corps de ballet is a big feature of each of the ballets.
