Ministerial To attend the United Nations Conference on Trade and Employment in Cuba, the Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, will leave Wellington by plane this ■ afternoon to contact with the Pan-American Skymaster leaving Whenuapai on Tuesday morning for San Francisco. He Will from there go to Los Angeles and Mexico City and will arrive in Havana on Thursday afternoon.
Mr R. H. Greenwood, M.A., has been appointed lecturer in geography at Otago University, and is expected to arrive in Dunedin, accompanied by his wife, at the beginning of next February. Mr Greenwood is at present a cartographer in the Hydrographic Department of the Admiralty. Dr R. C. Murray, a prominent American ornithologist, will arrive in Dunedin on Wednesday from the north, and leave for Invercargill the next day, after addressing the Dunedin branch of the Royal Society. Dr Murphy is accompanying Dr Falla on an expedition to the Snares Islands to study bird life.
