MURDER CHARGE

HEARING AT DUNEDIN FURTHER CROWN WITNESSES Further Crown evidence in the charge of murder against Phyllis Freeman, single, aged 33, will be heard in the City Police Court this morning. Freeman is alleged to have murdered Mrs Joyce Maysie Morrison at Enfield on October 3, 1942. The lower court hearing was begun in Oamaru last Tuesday, but was adjourned to Dunedin after the evidence of 19 Crown witnesses had been called. A charge of attempted murder, also preferred against the accused, has been adjourned until this morning. Defending counsel is Mr J. E. Farrell, of Oamaru.
