HIDDEN NOTE WINS

Dominion Trotting Handicap SPRINT TO SIR MICHAEL P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 14. Backers were out of luck in the Dominion Trotting Handicap when Betty Maxegin, a hot favourite, refused to go off, interfering with several horses, while Pardon Me, the third fancy, broke. Toushay headed Hidden Note and Fire Water after three furlongs, while a little further on Aerial Scott and Rerewaka joined the front lot. There was not much change till the home turn, where Toushay collapsed and Rerewaka broke. Hidden Note then dashed to the front and won easily, while Sure Lady finished well to beat Fire Water, with Rerewaka and Aerial Scott heading the others.
