CROQUET
Members of the Gardens Croquet Club visited Timaru on Wednesday to play teams from Ashburton. The A Grade played the Waiareka Club (Ashburton) and the B Grade played the Ashburton Club. Results were as follows (Oamaru names first): — A Grade.—Doubles; Mesdames Brehaut and Miller 23, Mesdames McMillan and Boggett 26; Mesdames Jamieson and Barclay 24, Mesdames Vial and London 19; Mesdames Brewster and Familton 19, Mesdames Dcnley and Saunders 26. Singles: Mrs Brehaut 14, Mrs McMillan 26; Mrs J. Miller 26, Mrs Doggett 16; Mrs J. Jamieson 26, Mrs Vial 7; Mrs Barclay 26, Mrs Tuiton 21; Mrs Brewster 26, Mrs Denley 24; Mrs K. Familton 19, Mrs Saunders 22. Oamaru 5 games. Waiareka 4.
