PALMERSTON SALE

The sheep yarded at the Palmerston sale were mostly ewes and lambs with one pen of medium-shorn wether hoggets and one pen of ewe hoggets in wool. In Ibis section competition was keen and prices were steady. One pen of good ewe lambs made to 32s and others from 25s to 275. Ewe hoggets in wool made to 52s 3d and shorn medium wether hoggets to 3Gs 7d. The cattle section was keenly followed by buyers and again prices were firm oh previous sales. Good three to four-year-old steers made from £lB 5s to £2O 2s Gd, while other three-year-old steers made from £l6 to £l7 2s. Good condition three-year-old heifers made from £l2 8s to £l4 10s. Two-year-old run heifers made from £8 5s to £lO 11s and one pen of Hereford cows and calves made to £ll 15si
