NEW PACIFIC FREIGHTER
SAN FRANCISCO, Rec. 9 p.m. Nov. 13. The Matson Line announced that the steamship Alameda, an 8250-ton freighter, had been delivered to the Oceanic Steamship Company in New Orleans for sailings to California, New Zealand, and Australia, augmenting the war freighter fleet comprising the Sonoma, Sierra, and Ventura, all with accommodation for 12 passengers.
