A Bad Run Commander Scott had anything but a clear run in the November Handicap last Saturday and is not likely to lose any support because of his deieat. Engaged at Wellington Goldina will have his next race in the Visitors’ Handicap at Wellington and is entitled to be one of the favourites. His winning margin at Forbury Park was one of the widest ever recorded on the course Appeal Against Fine D C. Watts’s appeal against the decision of the stipendiary stewards in fining him £25 for the careless handling of Beckleigh in the New Zealand Derby Stakes at Addington last Saturday will be heard on November 20. M. Holmes, the driver of Congo Song, and F. R. August, the driver of Fortuna, who were each fined £25 for careless handling of their horses in the Derby Stakes, indicated their intention of appealing after hearing the decision, but tney did not complete the formalities.
