Talybont, a winner at Ellerslie, is a tbree-year-old half-sister to Tiger Tan and Finalist, being by Tweed II from LySis, by Lysander from Adi Vunivola, by The Scribe. Sister to Foxhaven Swanee, winner of a division of the Melrose Handicap at Ellerslie, is raced by the former Dunedin owner, Mr D. H. Blackie, who also owns Oklahoma, another recent winner. Swanee is a sister to Foxhaven
Promising Hurdler Snappy was only a moderate performer on the flat, but he has won three hurdle events in succession and looks like winning more. Snappy is an aged gelding by The Greek from Lady Tiff.
