A letter from the Department of Health stated that supplies of the aids were being forwarded to the principal hospital boards. It was considered at the outset that it would be practicable to distribute the aids only to the Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Palmerston North and Hamilton hospitals. Mr H. E. Philp said that there were 10 people at Riverton alone who would be glad to take advantage of* such a good offer. Anyone who re-1 quired to avail himself of the offer would have to travel to Dunedin to be tested. It was reported that the Southland Hospital Board was as big as the one at Palmerston North.
