BALLET SEASON
Applications for preferential reservations for the approaching season of J. C. Williamson’s Borovnnsky Ballet, which begins at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday, November 22, closed yesterday, and on Monday morning the box plans will be opened at 9 o’clock for the ordinary booking; Four distinct programmes of ballets are to be presented, the first four nights and the Wednesday matinee being devoted to “ Les Sylphides,” “ Copelia ” and "Le Beau Danube.” On Thursday and Friday nights, November 27 and 28, “ Carnaval," " Giselle " and “ Capriccio Italien ” will be staged, and for five nights beginning on Saturday, November 2S, “ The Swan Lake,” “ Scheherazade,” " Spectre de la Rose ” and “ Minuet Au Bnl ” will be produced, with matinees on Saturday and Wednesday, November 29 and December 3. The final programme, to Ire presented on Friday and Saturday night and Saturday afternoon, December 5 and 6, will be “ Concerto,” “ Terra Australis,” ” Sigrict ” and “ L’Amour Ridicule.” The work of the symphony orchestra and the corps de ballet is a feature of each of the productions.
