PARTISANSHIP DISPLAY

ARMISTICE DAY IN PARIS Rec. 8 p.m. PARIS, Nov. 11. Thousands of Communists massed round the tomb of France's unknown soldier in an effort to turn Commemoration Day into a partisan show of political strength. The Communists, with red banners and clenched fists, called for the Socialist Premier, M. Paul Ramadier’s resignation. General de Gaulle’s supporters shouted and ma.de “V ” signs with both hands. At a parade organised by the Communist Women’s Organisation, which was part of the Armistice Day celebrations, the police were augmented along the route of the procession.
