Banking Bill Bloc Is Threatened with

Economic Repercussions MELBOURNE, ( Rec. 10 p.m. Nov - 12, The decision of . the Australian Railways’ Union to organise economic and industrial action against Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia if those States' form a bloc against tne Banking Bill is regarded as the first shot in the fight between the unions and the non-Labour Governments over the nationalisation of banks. The president of the union, Mr J. J. Brown, would not disclose details of the proposed action but hinted that Victoria and South Australia depended almost entirely on New South Wales for coal.
