CHARGE AGAINST ELDERLY WOMAN REMANDED J FOR FORTNIGHT p.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The case of Wfinifred Margaret Swan, aged 59, a domestic, who is charged with the murder of her sister, Edith Phyllis Swan, at Eastbourne, on November 5, was called in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Sub-inspector J. Abel asked for* a remand of one week, saying the accused was at present in a mental hospital. Counsel for the accused, Sir William Perry, said he would prefer a fortnight or a month. No objection was raised by thei police, and the magistrate, Mr J. g. Hanna, remanded the case until November 26.
