FAIR TO FINE The following official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—A depression lies northeast of the North Island, and an anticyclone in the Tasman Sea extends on to New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate north-west to west winds inland, but north-easterly, freshening at times, near the coast. Weather fair to fine, and temperatures mild. Further Outlook. —Cloud increasing. Weather in Dunedin.—A warm day, with llhr 18rnin of sunshine, and a maximum temperature of 62.6 degrees, was experienced in the city yesterday. The minimum temperature was 40.3 and the grass minimum 36.2 degrees. The rainfall to 9.30 a.m. was 0.20 inches. There was a light north-east wind for the greater part of the day. The barometer rose slightly during the day, the reading at midnight being 30 inches (996 millibars). >
