FLOODS IN TURKEY CAUSE HEAVY TOLL

Rec. 8 p.m. ANKARA, Nov. 10. More than 200 people were drowned in a flood after 60 hours of heavy rain in the Adana province. The floodwaters broke dams, ravaged the orange and cotton growing areas of the Adana Plain, and swept over 500 homes as the people fled terror-stricken from the rising waters. There is no information from a number of villages and it is feared great losses were suffered.
