PLANE SAFE
THE CREW UNHURT LANDING NEAR CASS MAY BE FLOWN BACK (Special, to Daxlv Times) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 8. The Airspeed Oxford bombing aeroplane which was reported missing from Wigram Aerodrome yesterday afternoon, is now reported to 'have made a forced landing near Mount White, Cass. The landing was made at about 4.30 yesterday afternoon, and the two occupants are safe, according to advice received from Wigram; A definite, report on the condition of the aeroplane was not available this afternoon, but officials at Wigram believe it to be undamaged. The machine landed in a large paddock and an attempt will be made to fly it back to Wigram if the field is large enough for a take-off. Two Air Force officers left for Mount White station to-day to inspect the paddock. It is not expected that any attempt to fly : the machine back will hot be made until to-morrow. The machine was located through a message received from Mr J. G. Thomson, of Mount White Station, who telephoned through to Wigram this morning.
