A VIOLENT RAID
BOMBERS OVER BERLIN CITY SHROUDED IN SMOKE (By Wireless.) DAVENTRY, Oct. 8. The American Associated Press Agency reports that last night British planes were over Berlin for four hours and a-half and that the raid was the most violent that Berlin has yet experienced. Two huge fires lit up the sky, and a pali of smoke shrouded the city. Two bombs fell near the agency’s office, which Is only a short distance away from the Air Ministry. This raid is no doubt the reason for German wireless stations being off the air last night.
