THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE BANKS AGAIN ACTIVE Banking shares were again active on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, when three parcels of Bank of New Zealand? were turned over at £2 2s Gd and another parcel at £2 2s 4d. Unions were also dealt in at £7 2s Gd, the closing quotations being Is on either side of that figure. Preferred Canterbury Meats were turned over at £6 17s Gd, the closing offer of 2s Gd less failing to meet with any response. Broken Hills had a closer market at £2 6s 3d (buyer) and £2 7s (seller), and Coles continued sleadilv in demand at £3 7s Gd. Offers of £1 12s 9d for New Zealand Breweries found sellers firm at £1 14s 9 cl. Austral-New Zealand Minina were still wanted at £1 ss, and the offer for Big Rivers stood at Gd. A sale of the latter was reported yesterday at 9d—the correct figure being 7d. Australian mining shares were well supported. Mount Lyclls being wanted at £1 9s, with a seller Is Gd away. There was an excellent demand ror all descriptions, the bulk of the catalogues comprising summers, springs, outgoings, and milkys. Values were firm at late rates, and all catalogues were cleared under the hammer. Exporters were well in the market, and took a fair share of the offering Furriers also purchased lots suitable for their trade. The small parcels of winters forward met keen competition, first bucks selling to 108 d, second bucks to 104 d first does to 91d, second does to 88id, spotted bucks to 89d, and spotted does to 75Jd. Indications point to fair prices for the summer period, and at the rates now ruling trapping should b ; a payable prooosition.
