A conference called several weeks ago by the Government for the purpose of considering economic questions associated with New Zealand’s war effort with a view to increasing production and'stabilising prices and costs will reassemble next week. After a general discussion on the situation, when the conference opened it was decided to refer a number of questions to a representative committee for the purpose of taking evidence if deemed necessary. - This committee, it is reported, has been meeting continuously and has taken a great deal of important, evidence from representative persons. It is understood that the report is now in the course of preparation, and that it will be presented to the main conference next week.
