AMERICAN NAVY RESERVISTS CALLED UP WASHINGTON, Oct. 8. (Received Oct. 7, at 2 a.m.) The Navy Department has summoned 27,000 naval reservists, of whom 11,289 are already on duty. The total strength is now 235,000. GRAF SPEE CREW FOUR MEMBERS ARRESTED VALPARAISO, Oct. 6. (Received Oct. *?, at 2 a.m.) The police arrested four members of the crew of the Graf Spee from a Japanese mail boat. They had been hiding in Valparaiso foxseveral days. “ INVASION ” RAFTS LONDON, Oct. 6. (Received Oct. 7, at 2 a.m.) A Swedish newspaper quoted by the Moscow radio to-day states that its correspondent in Holland reports that lax-ge rafts are being built in the Netherlands and other European ports to carry troops to England. BOMBERS OVER LONDON ACTIVITY CONTINUES , LONDON, Oct. 6. (Received Oct. 7, at 2 a.m.) The Air Ministry announces that one German bomber was destroyed over London during the night. Another raider, which was taking advantage of low cloud near London was shot down early this morning. An unofficial report states that another raider was destroyed in the early morning.
