CITY POLICE COURT
Thursday, October 3 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) A Remand Granted A youth, whose name was suppressed until the facts have been gone into, and who was represented by Mr C. J. L. White, appeared on a charge of having, at Queenstown, stolen a dressing gown—On the application of Detective Sergeant Le Sueur, who stated that another charge was pending, the accused was remanded to appear at Invercargill on Monday next. Breach of Probation A young man named Alexander Mcßae was charged with having failed to comply with the terms of his release on probation.—The probation officer (Mr E. F. Mosley) stated that the accused had been released on probation in November of last year on charges of breaking and entering and car conversion. Since being placed on probation, his conduct had been only fair, and he had not reported for three months. —Warning Mcßae that if he came before the court again he would receive little consideration, the magistrate placed him on probation for a further period of six months, to commence at the expiry of the present term.
