CLOTHING TRADE
FEMALE APPRENTICES LABOUR SUSPENSION ORDER (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct.. 3. A recent labour legislation suspension order facilitated the operation of certain : clothing trades by waiving the apprenticeship requirements in respect to female workers entering the trade after reaching 21 years, provided they received the prescribed rates of wages. A second Clothing Trade Labour Suspension Order, gazetted to-night, extends the application of the first order to female workers in the shirt, white, and silk working, and the dressmaking and millinery trades.
