CLASH IN MONTEREY
AN ATTEMPTED RISING MONTEREY (Mexico), Oct. 1. (Received Oct. 2, at 8 p.m.) What the Government describes as an attempted rising in Monterey, resulted in a clash between Government troops and Almazanista forces, in which the Almazanista leader. Genera] Zarzosa, and a number of soldiers were killed. The clash followed attempts to arrest General Zarzosa, who was allegedly preparing a military uprising.
