THE PACIFIC ZONE EXTENDED TIME SCHEDULE Details of the changes in the Daventry transmissions to New Zealand, preliminary advice of which was received some weeks ago, _ have been given in the Empire station s announce - men'.s recently. The original announcement stated that the changes would come into force as from last, Sunday, but for technical reasons u was found necessary to postpone me application of the new schedule till next Sunday. • From Sunday next, therefore. New Zealand will be included in the Pacific Zone transmission, the broadcast beginning at 5.57 p.m. ins ead of at this week’s hour of 4.57 p.m. The session will close at 10.5 p.m. instead of at 8.0 p.m.. giving an extension in period of one hour. The .times stated are New Zealand summer times. . Another change will be the inclusion of three news sessions instead of two. and there will be two topical talks. The news will be given at 6.15 p.m.. 8.30 p.m., and 9.45 p.m It is probable also that changes in the transmitter frequencies will be made at the same time
