SWEPT BY TYPHOON
SOUTHERN END OF FORMOSA FIFTY PEOPLE KILLED TOKIO, Oct. 1. The Domei Agency correspondent at Tainan says the edge of a typhoon which struck the southern tip of Formosa yesterday afternoon killed 50 persons, destroyed 5000 houses, and severely damaged crops.
