WAR FINANCE DEBATE (From Oub Parliamentary Reporter* WELLINGTON, Oct. 2. The financing of the war was debated in the House of Representatives to-night. The discussion was opened by the Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, and other speakers were Mr J. G. Coates (Opposition. Kaipara), the Minister of Supply (Mr D. G. Sullivan), Mr W. J. Poison (Opposition, Stratford) and the Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser). The debate will be resumed to-morrow afternoon. The only legislation dealt with at the afternoon sitting was the Orchard and Garden Diseases Amendment Bill, which was put through all stages and passed. The House rose at 10.30 p.m.
