CANADIAN GOLD AND OIL
INCREASED PRODUCTION (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Sept. 30. (Received Oct. 1, at 7 p.m.) Canada is increasing her production of both gold and oil. During the first five months of 1940 over 65,000 ounces of gold more were produced compared with the same period of 1939. The increase over the first five months of 1939 in the output of crude petroleum and natural gasolene is nearly 500,000 barrels.
