PARISH OF ST. JOHN
BAZAAR AND SALE OF WORK The annual bazaar and sale of work organised by the women of the parish of St. John, Roslyn, was opened in the parish hall yesterday, when there was a good attendance of parishioners ana friends The vicar, the Ven. Archdeacon A. C H. Bulton, opened the sale, the proceeds of which will be used to help with parish work.
The stalls and those in charge were as follows: —Afternoon guild—-Mes-dames Buchler, Cookson, S. B. Smith. Ferry; evening guild—Miss Rackley Miss Chapman; produce—Mesdames Buttle. Bolting, Button: flowers and Diants —Mesdames Young, Bradley and Robinson: cakes—Mesdames Peters Rolfe. Hughes: sweets—Mrs Dawson and girls: odds and ends—Mesdames T.uscombe and Moodie; Christmas tree • Mesdames Bell and Basire; tea rooms —Mesdames Chapman. Jenkin L Smith: ice cream—Mrs Howarth There was a short entertainment in the evening arranged by Miss K Falconer and friends The bazaar will be continued this afternoon and this evening, when the entertainment will be presented by Mr G. L. Wilkinson and some students from the Training College
